I am Jamaican-born, dual-board-certified in Family practice and psychiatric mental health care. I got my FNP at Florida Atlantic University with honors. Since then, I saw there was a need for mental health providers, and having a passion for mental health, and dealing with mental health in my own family I decided that I should pursue a degree in mental health and have my own business to get away from cooperate setting that dictates on how to treat patients and how much time to spend with each client (15 mins) and that's what I did. I completed a post-master certificate in PMNHNP at Walden University. I currently work as a primary care/urgent care provider treating chronic conditions and common mental health disorders such as Depression, anxiety, insomnia, and ADHD. I also have 16 years in the emergency room environment.
